Other Expenditures Considerations

 

As in any Other Expenditure category of a budget, Other Expenditures are a catch all and include many smaller items within the budget as well as misc inflows of funds. The different areas are noted below. For FY 2013, Transportation is 19% of the total category, Education, Training, Employment, and Social Services 15%, Health 19%, and Veterans Benefits and Services 29%.

1.  Exempt veteran benefits and services from the cuts as there is a debt owed our veterans.

 

2.  Freeze these expenditures to FY 2014 levels in FY 2015 and decrease them back to the FY 2008 levels proportionately from FY2016 to FY2020.

 

3.  Hold any percentage increases in these budget categories to the lower of 50% of inflation or 50% of the increase in tax receipts from FY2021 to FY2024.
